Privacy notice

Last updated 3 August 2026

This notice explains what we do with your personal information when you join the Editology mailing list. It is written to be read, not to protect us.

Who we are

Editology Skin is operated by Nicole Tay, based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at hello@editologyskin.com.

What we collect

Only your email address, and only if you give it to us.

If you later complete a skin questionnaire or take part in product testing, we will collect what you choose to tell us there. That will be explained separately at the time, and it will always be optional.

Why we collect it

To send you the Editology newsletter: writing about skincare research, product development and what we are working on.

Our lawful basis is your consent. You gave it by entering your address and confirming your subscription, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who else sees it

Our newsletter is delivered through Substack, which stores your address on our behalf as a data processor. Their privacy terms are at substack.com/privacy.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not pass it to anyone else.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or until you tell us to delete it. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record that you opted out, so we do not accidentally contact you again.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link. That is the fastest route. For anything else, email us and we will deal with it within one month.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your agreement first where the law requires it.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email.
